Lecture by the Ambassador of Belgium to Russia, Armenia, Belarus and Uzbekistan

November 29, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm +04

About the Event:
With its federal structure and different linguistic groups, Belgium, one of the founding members of the European Union, is often seen as a miniature model of the European project and a classical case-study for regional and global integration. These circumstances shaped the country attitudes and policies, developing primarily a sense of compromise and constant dialogue that enabled the country to assume a considerable diplomatic weight in the EU compared to its geographical size. As Armenia is currently involving in integration processes, are there any lessons to be learnt from the Belgian experience?

About the Speaker:
Mr. Jean-Arthur Régibeau, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium in the Russian Federation, Armenia, Belarus and Uzbekistan, earned his Master in Laws from State University of Liège, Belgium, and his Diploma in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University in Bologna, Italy. Mr. Régibeau has also been the Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister of Defense and First Secretary at the Belgian Embassy in Berlin.
