IP Moot Court Competition

The Intellectual Property Rights Center of Armenia (IPRC) will hold its 6th Annual IP Moot Court Competition. Teams from Yerevan and several regions of Armenia will take part in the two-day event at the American University of Armenia.

Over the past five years, the IP Moot Court has become one of the biggest and most popular IP events in Armenia. Once a year, it draws together a wide range of people in this field from both private and public sectors. Students from private and public law schools attend to compete with each other and show their skills and knowledge. IP lawyers from private law firms, representatives from state authorities and authors’ rights societies attend to serve as judges for the IP Moot Court. IPRC does its best to assure that the competition is an educational and public awareness raising event, giving opportunity to law students to enhance their writing and oral argumentation skills in the field of Intellectual Property rights, while wrestling with cutting edge issues in IP law.

The experience of past five years also shows that the IP Moot Court has became an ideal place for law firms, state authorities and other interested organizations to recruit talent in the field of Intellectual Property Rights.
