Armenian Children’s Oral Health & Dental Program

November 2, 2015 @ 9:30 am - November 3, 2015 @ 4:30 pm +04

A two-day symposium on Armenian children’s dental health will take place on November 2-3, 2015 at AUA’s Manoogian Hall. The event is part of a much larger oral health education project initiated and supported by the Bay Area Friends of Armenia (BAFA) that decided that educating healthcare providers through seminars and other forms of advocacy was an essential first step. Dr. Jack Koumjian, an AUA supporter, is working in partnership with Dr. Ramos-Gomez and Dr. Francois Antounian, another AUA supporter who is an orthopedic surgeon and Board Member of BAFA, to organize the two day symposium. Dr. Francisco Ramos-Gomez, D.D.S., M.S., M.P.H., Professor in the Division of Pediatric Dentistry and the Director for the Pediatric Dentistry Preceptorship Program at the UCLA School of Dentistry, is a proponent of global health who has served in the areas of dental, pediatrics and oral health policy.
