LA CRESCENTA, California – On November 9, 2014, Dr. Haroutune Armenian, President Emeritus of the American University of Armenia (AUA) and Chair of AUA’s Turpanjian Rural Development Program (AUA-TRDP) was a guest speaker on the subject of “AUA’s Turpanjian Rural Development Program in Armenia: Lessons Learned” at the Crescenta Valley Armenian Apostolic Church in LaCrescenta, California. The AUA School of Public Health and the AUA Acopian Center for the Environment have partnered with two Armenian governmental ministries to develop an inventory of toxic waste sites in Armenia.

The Chief Scientist of the AUA Acopian Center for the Environment has been appointed as Armenia’s National Coordinator for the second European Breeding Bird Atlas.
