“I believe this program is much needed in the Armenian market. People working in NGOs acquire knowledge only through professional experience, and there are close to no providers of academic training for NGO management in the market,” said Dr. Tantushyan.
“From the beginning we had the feeling that this precious documentary, seemingly fragile yet in its essence as resilient and enduring as an archaeological artifact, would be awarded”, said FHIFF director Sara Ferro.
The IMF is an international organization conceived in 1944, which aims to foster global economic cooperation, ensure and maintain stability in the international monetary system, and to prevent economic crises.
The donations include two notable collections of books, one from Zaven and Sonia Akian and the other from Joseph Oughourlian.

The First Hermetic International Film Festival is dedicated to films that explore esoteric, mystical, occult, and other hermetic spiritual themes.
The event was attended by Zarmine Zeytuntsyan, Chair of the State Tourism Committee of Armenia, Deborah Grieser, USAID Armenia Mission Director, Sisak Mkhitaryan, Chief of Party, USAID “My Armenia” Program, Smithsonian Institution, Simon Jones, Senior Consultant, Solimar International, AUA Provost Dr. Randall Rhodes and AUA Extension Director Sergey Tantushyan.
The highlight of the event was a 90-minute panel discussion moderated by Dr. Shakeh Kaftarian, who chaired the Empowerment of Girls and Women in Armenia conference at AUA in April 2017.
