Dr. Garber received his MD from Harvard Medical School in 2014 and his Master of Public Health (MPH) from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2017.

The Zvart Avedisian Onanian Center for Health Services Research and Development (CHSR) of the Gerald and Patricia Turpanjian School of Public Health (SPH) is pleased to share that they have received a 5-year award from the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH)’s Fogarty International Center (FIC), partnering with Emory University researchers Carla J. Berg, PhD, and Michelle C. Kegler, DrPh, both from the Rollins School of Public Health and Winship Cancer Institute.
From June to September 2017, the Garo Meghrigian Institute for Preventive Ophthalmology (Meghrigian Institute) of the Gerald and Patricia Turpanjian School of Public Health (SPH) implemented a comprehensive eye screening program among socially disadvantaged children, the elderly and disabled adults living in Shirak and Lori regions.

From September 3-9, American University of Armenia (AUA) Gerald and Patricia Turpanjian School of Public Health (SPH) Senior Researcher Dr. Arusyak Harutyunyan (MPH ‘09) participated in the 2017 European Regional Tobacco Control Leadership Program hosted by Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (JHSPH) in Kiev, Ukraine, for which she was nominated and competitively selected.
