Dr. Senel admits that his month in Armenia has been a fascinating experience, although he doesn’t like to consider himself just a tourist who has come to spend time in a foreign country.

The topic was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Muzaffer Şenel, also the director of the Center for Modern Turkish Studies at Istanbul Şehir University.
Professor Marina Dodigovic of the American University of Armenia (AUA)’s MA TEFL program recently acted as lead guest editor for a special issue of the TESOL International Journal. The issue is dedicated to vocabulary teaching, learning and assessment, a timely topic as vocabulary research is one of the fastest growing areas in applied linguistics and TESOL.
On September 20, the Political Science and International Affairs (PSIA) program of the American University of Armenia (AUA) hosted Mr. Mamikon Hovsepyan, Executive Director of PINK Armenia, who delivered a seminar examining the politics of LGBT issues in Armenia. Mr. Hovsepyan discussed LGBT rights, the extent to which those rights are respected and upheld in Armenia, and the essential role of the Armenian government in protecting the LGBT community.

The scientist believes that Jerusalem is the largest and most valuable treasury of Armenian science after Armenia herself. Unfortunately, the huge collection of materials is not available to visitors.
From September 11-15, the American University of Armenia (AUA)’s LL.M. program had the pleasure of hosting Professor Mark Movsesian from St. John’s University School of Law as a visiting professor. He taught a course titled ‘Topics in American Law: US Constitution and Human Rights.’
