Forbes Recognizes Krisp as One of America’s Most Promising AI Companies

< 1 min read

The American University of Armenia (AUA) is proud to share the Forbes article announcing its second annual AI 50, a list of private, U.S.-based companies that are using artificial intelligence in meaningful, business-oriented ways. In total, Forbes received about 400 entries from companies hoping to make the list. Among the final 50 most compelling companies was Krisp, a noise-reduction app that was co-founded by AUA Alumnus Artavazd Minasyan (MBA ’12). Krisp’s software has been especially critical in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, as more people switch to remote work and increasingly depend on reduced background noise in calls.

Founded in 1991, the American University of Armenia (AUA) is a private, independent university located in Yerevan, Armenia, affiliated with the University of California, and accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission in the United States. AUA provides local and international students with Western-style education through top-quality undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs, promotes research and innovation, encourages civic engagement and community service, and fosters democratic values.
