World Usability Day Celebrated at AUA

YEREVAN, Armenia ‒ On November 10, 2018, the World Usability Day was hosted at the American University of Armenia (AUA). The event was co-organized by Formabilis LLC and the Akian College of Science and Engineering (CSE).

The World Usability Day is celebrated annually uniting many professionals from around the world. On this day, communities interested in education, management and industry gather in one place to make sure that  services and products vital for daily human life are easier to access and simpler to use for the public. The main topics of the conference were user experience (UX) and Interaction Design.

This year, the key speaker of the event was Gilbert Cockton, Professor of Design Theory, Northumbria University. Cockton has a 35-year interconnection design experience and is considered one of the leading experts in the field of Interaction Design.

“Armenia’s future as an innovating country with strong expertise for digital products and services will be shaped by the quality of its Interaction Design expertise. Events such as World Usability Day contribute to Armenia’s capacity for Innovation. I was glad to be part of this ‎event to help build this capacity in Armenia,” remarked Cockton.
