AUA LL.M. Student Sona Margaryan Admitted to the RA Academy of Justice

 YEREVAN, Armenia – In February 2018, Sona Margaryan, a first-year student of the Master of Laws (LL.M.) program at the American University of Armenia (AUA), passed the challenging examination to be admitted into the training program at the Republic of Armenia Academy of Justice. Upon successful completion of academy, Margaryan will achieve her objective of becoming a state prosecutor.

Choosing the profession of law, Margaryan (LL.M. ‘19) started her legal education at the Faculty of Law at Yerevan State University (YSU) in 2013. Initially, her specialization was in international and European law. Throughout her years studying, Margaryan had internships at the Yerevan State Prosecutor’s office, the RA Court of the First Instance of Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts, as well as at the RA Financial Mediator’s office, broadening her knowledge in the legal sphere.

Simultaneously, with the aim of applying the acquired legal insight in practice, Margaryan began to work at the Jewelry Company of Armenia CJSC as a legal consultant in 2016, and benefited from this experience, since it gave her an opportunity to discover new perspectives both within the domestic and international legal frameworks.
