YEREVAN, Armenia – On February 25, the American University of Armenia (AUA) hosted an open house for the prospective applicants of graduate programs. Throughout the day, while interacting with current students, faculty, and staff the attendees had the opportunity to learn about academic programs, admission updates, financial aid, and more.
After Arina Zohrabian, Director of Admissions, familiarized those present with the admission process and Margarita Sahakyan, Financial Aid Coordinator, introduced the various options to finance education at AUA, program visits were also conducted, where prospective applicants networked with Program Chairs, faculty, staff, alumni and students.
Meanwhile, four breakout sessions were organized. The attendees visited a second graduate program according to their preference and interest. Together with Mr. Aram Keryan, EPIC Operations Manager, learned about AUA’s Entrepreneurship and Product Innovation Center and how it promotes entrepreneurial education, collaboration, and startup incubation. They also had an option of participating in a resume writing workshop led by Ms. Mane Beglaryan, Lecturer. Some others preferred to tour the AUA Campus and see AUA’s sights including the newly remodeled Collaborative Study Space, renowned AGBU Papazian library, Center for Student Success, the cafeteria, EPIC, classes, and more.
The Open House ended with a friendly Q&A session, where the administrative staff answered questions of prospective applicants regarding the admission process, financial aid, and the activities of AUA’s Extension and Alumni and Career Development Office (ACDO).
