AUA AGBU Papazian Library Collaborates with CSUN Oviatt Library

< 1 min read

In October of 2015, California State University, Northridge (CSUN) signed an affiliation agreement with the American University of Armenia (AUA) to explore mutual areas of collaboration. One of the endeavors of the collaboration resulted in the Interlibrary Loan agreement.

The AGBU Papazian Library recently extended the quality and reach of its resource sharing network with Oviatt Library. Being a part of this library network means that electronic exchange of materials such as journal articles, book chapters, and government documents will be requested and provided. This kind of exchange will be most beneficial to both institutions and provide beneficial resources for students, faculty, and staff.

“A new opportunity of collaborative networking between the CSUN Oviatt Library and the AUA AGBU Papazian Library may extremely improve its information services. From our understanding, 8% of CSUN students are ethnic Armenians; the AGBU Papazian Library may provide Armenian research resources available in the Armenian language for them”, noted Dianne Philibosian, Ph.D., CSUN.

Founded in 1991, the American University of Armenia (AUA) is a private, independent university located in Yerevan, Armenia and affiliated with the University of California. AUA provides US-style education in Armenia and the region, offering high-quality, graduate and undergraduate studies, encouraging civic engagement, and promoting public service and democratic values.
