Head of AYB School and ABBYY Vice President Aram Pakhchanian Gives Talk at AUA

YEREVAN, Armenia –  As part of her course,  BUS 307 Human Resources Management, professor Mané Beglaryan hosted Aram Pakhchanian, founding member of AYB school and ABBYY vice president, on January 26 at the American University of Armenia (AUA). Pakhchanian’s talk was about “Brand and the Corporate Spirit: Their Effectiveness and Interrelatedness,” the first in the College of Business and Economics (CBE) Guest Speaker Series.

The focus of Pakhchanian’s presentation was to expose students to the interrelationship between the values and the brand of a company, as well as the drive for running an effective organization. Beglaryan plans to invite additional industry-specific speakers in line with the goal of her course and in order to complement her students’ experiential and applied learning.

Pakhchanian graduated from the Yerevan School of Physics-Mathematics and the Moscow Institute of Physics. In 1993, he joined ABBYY, an international software company that provides optical character recognition, document capture and language software for both PC and mobile devices. He became a founding member of the board of trustees of AYB Educational Foundation. In July 2014, Pakhchanian also became the head of AYB school.

The CBE Guest Speaker Series aims to expose students to industry-specific experts as part of their experiential learning.
