YEREVAN, Armenia – It was a festive week at AUA, starting on November 16. The entire AUA community enjoyed a series of events and activities marking International Education Week on campus. The events, organized by the Center for Student Success, included country presentations, music and dance, screenings of a film and television show, and an international food festival.

The aim of the week-long series of events was to celebrate world cultures, raise awareness of international and global issues, develop cross-cultural skills, and promote respect and concern for other peoples and cultures. International students had an opportunity to present information about their home countries, including Nigeria, Syria, and Russia. A new film on the Syrian conflict, Nigol Bezjian’s “Thank You Ladies & Gentlemen” which highlights the struggles and brave resilience of a group of Syrian refugees who have escaped to Lebanon, was screened.
