College of Science and Engineering Discusses ‘Detecting Online Fraud’ with Vahe Amirbekian

YEREVAN, Armenia – On April 22, 2015, the American University of Armenia (AUA) College of Science and Engineering held a public lecture on ‘Detecting Online Fraud: How it is Done on a Global Internet Company Scale,’ with speaker Vahe Amirbekian.

Vahe Amirbekian earned his PhD in Computer Science from AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Poland. From 2003 to 2008 he worked in the Trust and Safety Team at eBay as Software Engineer and Engineering Manager. Since 2008 he has worked in Risk Detection/Global Risk Sciences Business Unit at PayPal as a Rules Engine and Analytical Platform Business Owner, Analytical Development and Operations Director.
