Roy Gutman Article in McClatchyDC Features AUA Students and Faculty

YEREVAN, Armenia – On April 17, 2015, Roy Gutman, journalist for the well-known independent Washington, DC news outlet McClatchyDC, published an articled entitled, “100 years later, world debates: Were Armenian deaths genocide?” The article examined the ongoing controversy over the word ‘genocide’ when describing the events of 1915, and featured insightful input from students and faculty experts from the American University of Armenia (AUA).

Gutman cites AUA as an “ultra-modern hilltop campus” and quotes several students about their opinion on genocide recognition. Vahram Ter-Matevosyan, Senior Lecturer in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, was also quoted.
