Incoming Graduate Students Attend Orientation

YEREVAN, Armenia – On Monday, August 25, 2014, the American University of Armenia (AUA) welcomed the incoming class of graduate students at the annual graduate student orientation.  More than 240 new students participated in it. The students received information about AUA’s policies, safety, technology support, health services, and resources available at the AGBU Papazian Library.

Interim President Dr. Armen Der Kiureghian, Interim Provost Dr. Donald Fuller, Registrar Bonny Vosu, VP of Operations Ashot Ghazaryan and other members of AUA’s leadership and staff offered their remarks to the incoming class, welcoming them to the AUA community. Interim Provost Dr. Donald Fuller said, “I welcome the new graduate students. In two years, you will be our emissaries of knowledge to Armenia and the world. We wish you great success. We will do everything possible to facilitate your studies and educational experience.”

Interim President Dr. Armen Der Kiureghian congratulated new students emphasizing that from that time on they will be life-long members of the AUA family and stated   “You have to treat your AUA family as you would treat your own family… so welcome to the AUA family”.
