AUA President Emeritus Dr. Bruce M. Boghosian Receives Order of the Republic of Armenia Award

YEREVAN, Armenia – On July 14, 2014, American University of Armenia (AUA) President Emeritus Dr. Bruce M. Boghosian received the Order of the Republic of Armenia award for his efforts to improve the standard of education in Armenia in his capacity as AUA President. Dr. Boghosian and Interim President Dr. Armen Der Kiureghian welcomed Chief of Staff Minister Mr. Davit Harutyunyan, who presented the award on behalf of Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan.

After the presentation of the award, Dr. Boghosian, Dr. Der Kiureghian, and Mr. Harutyunyan discussed current and future trends in the Armenian job market and how to anticipate and accommodate them. Dr. Boghosian also detailed several of AUA’s recent successes, including last year’s launch of the undergraduate program, AUA Extension’s new offices in Gyumri, Dilijan, and Stepanakert, and the new MS in Economics program.
