< 1 min read

YEREVAN – On Monday, August 26, 2013, the American University of Armenia (AUA) welcomed the next generation of graduate students to the AUA community during their official orientation session.

In preparation for the beginning of the academic year, the graduate orientation session intended to provide new students with the resources to become successful and active members of the AUA community.

Says Coordinator of Student Services Garine Palandjian, “The graduate students are very excited.  In talking to them while they registered and after the program, I could already sense that they are passionate and thrilled to be students at AUA.”

AUA President Dr. Bruce M. Boghosian, Provost Dr. N. Dennis Leavens, and Registrar Bonny Vosu opened the session with welcoming remarks. Students then received information on AUA policies, the resources available at the AGBU Papazian Library, as well as information on safety, technology support, and health resources at AUA.

Palandjian continues, “I am looking forward to watching these students develop during their time at AUA. Graduate studies is a time where students can focus on what they are most interested in. It’s great to watch how they develop an understanding of their field and dive into analysis, and I look forward to watching this generation of AUA students grow.
